• The FESHE conference and workshop this year was great, Ed and Lori did another wonderful job, I can't wait till next year. Monica from Phi Theta Kappa put on another great Public Safety Leadership and Ethics train the trainer course, if you have not taken this excellent class please register for the next one, you will not regret it. This week long class culminates into a life changing experience. The FESHE workshops were excellent as usual with Pod casting, new web sites and much more. The existing board was re-elected for another term, and Ed gave a motivational talk on the benefits of joining the association.

• Information about our next IAFESHE meeting, in May 31, 2008 at the National Fire Academy. details and map. This looks to be one of our largest turnouts, with one hundred and seventy registered. It is always a good idea to bring your camera. We have had Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin as past speakers.
   
• This years FESHE meeting was excellent, Chief Coleman was the opening speaker, as he started to talk about the fire service history, a four member drum and fifer band came playing and marching in to the auditorium. Just about the time you thought it couldn't much better than this a Ben Franklin impersonator came walking in from up top. Chief Coleman and Ben Franklin went on to talk about the history of the fire service, it was really quit a treat.
  
  We had the largest turnout ever 164 attendees representing colleges from all over the United States and Canada. IAFESHE is up and running, Tim Capehart gave a presentation on IAFESHE incorporation, 501-3C non-profit status, and the checking account, Tim went on to talk about board vacancies, later that night a vote was taken, and  we now have a complete board, voting in three new board positions. Ed and Lori did another great job on organizing this years FESHE Conference.
